Welp, here it goes.
My first blog post.
I've always had an interest for photography, I went to see The Lovely Bones three times in the movie theatre just because she was so passionate about it. For some reason, money or lack of self confidence, I never actually picked up a camera and learned how to take quality photographs.But then, then it all changed.

I joined this class two weeks late and within the first ten minutes of her lecture, I was hooked. I am now a communication major and an art history minor with a concentration on photography.

For my art history class we have a final project; to create an art exhibit with a common theme, wall text, and of course, photographs. One of my best friends, Anastasia, mentioned how much she liked candid photos and that is when all of this became an idea. What if I start taking candid photographs of my friends? I could easily use those for this project and also have halfway decent pictures of the people in my life.

For about two weeks I used my phone. As nice as the iPhone 5 camera is, I upgraded. One trip to Walmart and then another to target and now I have a Nikon D5200 (and an SD card, thank you Target).

Moving forward, this is my blog. This is where I can (and will) update all my photographs for friends, family and whoever else would like to see. I hope y'all enjoy them as much as I love taking these photographs.
